Bachelor Degrees

In 2023, the institute launched two educational programs: “Energy and Environmental Engineering” and “Logistics”. The programs are aimed at training specialists for the production of green hydrogen in Mangystau and supporting the development of logistics for the middle transport corridor from China to Europe across the Caspian Sea.

In the next five years, it is planned to expand the list of educational programs: up to 8 bachelor’s programs and up to 6 master’s programs.

Goal

The main goal of the educational program “Energy and Environmental Engineering” is to train qualified specialists in the field of energy and ecology. The program is also aimed at developing individuals of a new format with an active life position, capable of working in a team and independently, as well as taking responsibility for the results of professional activities.

Study outcomes

Graduates of this educational program can:

  • calculate and select the main and auxiliary equipment of thermal power plants;
  • evaluate and calculate electricity production processes using renewable energy sources;
  • use methods and instruments to measure important technological parameters in energy processes and ecology;
  • find a compromise between various requirements (cost, quality, safety and deadlines), both in long-term and short-term planning;
  • use international standards in their work to improve the efficiency of equipment in the thermal power and electric power industries;
  • use methods for modeling thermal technological processes, installations and systems;
  • develop plans, programs and methods for testing equipment in thermal and electrical networks, as well as in water and air purification systems;
  • automated execution, editing and design of drawings of energy facilities using the AutoCAD graphic system
